I decided to go take a stroll through central park and actually sit under a tree and view what I hear. I left my phone in a steady spot between a tree and the groove of the roots. As I recorded this, a squirrel ran up into my phone and started to sniff it which created a unique sound like nibbling because I have never been up close to a squirrel like that before. I heard little kids screaming of laughter and frustration as if their Mom is making them walk longer then they should. A helicopter passed by with an emphasized roaring.  The sounds of twigs breaking as they fall from the trees. A lot of thumping from people cutting across the fields and running to a more distant place. Caricature artists picking at different pencils and charcoal. The sound of  scurrying is heard through the mix and matching of materials in their boxes. Trying to pick the exact pencil they need. The dipping sounds of paddles as couples row across the lake. Tourists flipping pennies into the ponds as if they are actually going to come back to New York. The sounds of the quarters they throw sounds like an exaggerated faucet droplets.
